Alexandra Burke: 'I've been crying in the recording studio'

Songstress Alexandra Burke has admitted that her recent recording sessions have been incredibly emotional because she's trying to let her walls down for her new music.

Speaking exclusively to Cosmopolitan about working on a new album, she explained that it's important to her to be honest on this new release so she's really opening her heart:

"It's exciting because it's all coming from my heart. It's kind of disturbing because my manager/ A&R guy JoJo and I have been really searching for places inside me that have been locked up, that I refuse to talk about, that I get shy talking about or I get afraid to be open about. In the studio in New York, there have been a few times he's had me in tears in the studio literally crying on a song and I've never done that before."

The album will be preceded by a 'taster EP' and Burke added that she's impatient to get it out there: "I just want my EP to be out there ASAP, because that's going to be a taster for what my album's going to sound like."
