Alicia Keys has reflected positively over 2016, hailing it as one of the "best" years she has experienced in her life.

The musician took to Twitter on New Year's Day to update fans on Twitter with her thoughts on the last 12 months. She wrote: "2016 was an incredible experience of uncovering & discovering. It's been 1 of the best years of my entire life! What r u ready for in 2017?"

Keys also posted a video compiling some of her top moments of the last year, with a voiceover revealing that she has found more of her inner personality this year.
