Songstress Amelia Lily has revealed that her new single, 'California', is about an ex-boyfriend of hers and she thought he would make great subject matter because the story is very relatable.

Speaking to EntertainmentWise recently, the blonde beauty explained that she doesn't mind having her private life in the public if it's woven into a song:

"It’s an actually about an ex of mine! We had a long relationship and it didn’t work out."

"I just thought it’d be a really good story to put into a song; hopefully a lot of people can relate to it. I wanted it to be upbeat as well, I didn’t want to make it a depressing ballad."

"I think it always comes out eventually! I’ve always been quite a private person in terms of my personal life, and I think it’s good to be like that, because you don’t want everybody knowing your business. For me it’s just the way I am as a person. But that’s just me!"
