First listen to new Post War Years single w/ Everything Everything, The Invisible remixes due- New EP out 29th Oct through Chess Club Records - With remixes from Everything Everything, The Invisible, Atatika Sound ‘The Bell’ is perhaps PWY’s most confident statement of intent to date. ' The Line of Best Fit ‘Crashing melodic madness’ NME ‘A pulsating anthem driven by stabbing synths and soaring vocals’ Q ‘A heady treat’ – DJ Magazine
‘The Bell’ produced by long-term collaborator James Rutledge (MGMT, Grizzly Bear, Late of The Pier, My Bloody Valentine, The Kills) sees the band tapping into a seam of eccentric pop, which is both idiosyncratic and accessible, echoing the dance rock of classic Prince and New Order yet with a modern, synth-happy sheen. Remixes of ‘The Bell’ will be coming from fellow fans of the left Everything Everything, The Invisible and Atatika Sound. Post War Years have enlisted the talents of Philadelphia’s far out animator and filmmaker, Tobias Stretch (Efterklang and Radiohead). Tobias has duly bestowed his brand of dream-logic surreality upon the band. On top of making the videos for first single ‘All Eyes’, ‘Glass House’ and now ‘The Bell’ Tobias has waved his magic wand over all artwork and imagery for the band henceforth. After the success first time round, Post War Years will once again join Everything Everything on a their forthcoming UK tour. Details of Post War Years own headline tour, coming soon.
