Ariana Grande to bag first UK No.1 single

Ariana Grande is on course to top the UK singles chart for the first time.

The US star released her Iggy Azalea collaboration 'Problem' in the country on Monday (June 30) and it has rocketed to No.1.

The Official Charts Company have confirmed on their midweek update today (July 2) that it has shifted nearly 67,000 units.

This week's list is the first to include streaming and streams have accounted for 1.7% of Grande's total. 100 plays equals one sale.

At No.2 on the update is Ella Henderson's chart-topping 'Ghost', whilst George Ezra's 'Budapest' rises two places to No.3.

Ed Sheeran's 'Sing' is No.4 whilst Oliver Heldens' 'Gecko (Overdrive)' rests at No.5.

Sia is a new entry at No.6 with 'Chandelier' and DJ Fresh's 'Make U Bounce' comes in at No.7.
