Ariana Grande has confirmed that she will perform her new single at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

The US star will hit the stage at the glitzy event on August 24 to run through her track 'Break Free'.

She revealed the news whilst appearing on a one-off revival of MTV's Total Request Live on Wednesday (July 2).

Grande debuted 'Break Free' - a collaboration with Zedd - on the show before it went on iTunes.

The song is due to feature on the singer's upcoming second album 'My Everything', which is set for an August 25 release.
