Ariana Grande tells interviewer: 'You need to brush up on equality'

'Problem' hitmaker Ariana Grande shut down a sexist interviewer this week for asking a series of questions that had little substance and were heavily gendered.

During a new interview with Power 106, the 'Focus' sensation was asked what she would rather go without between make-up or her cell phone and shot back at the hosts, saying: “Is this what you think girls have trouble choosing between? Is this what men think girls have trouble choosing between?”

Referring to the fact that she isn't at all attached to her cell phone and could definitely do without it, Grande added: “Yes! (I could go without it for) hours, many hours, absolutely.”

The hosts then turned the conversation to the topic of emojis and annoyed the superstar further by suggesting that a man wouldn't use the unicorn one: "Boys! many boys use the unicorn! You need a little brushing up on equality over here! Who says the unicorn emoji isn’t for men! Alright I changed my mind, I don’t wanna hang out [here] any more. Real men use the unicorn emoji and aren’t afraid."
