Ariana Grande: 'Women suffer ridiculous double standards'

'Dangerous Woman' sensation Ariana Grande has revealed that being a woman means having to put up with ridiculous double standards.

She explained to Britain's Grazia magazine that it's unfair how women are attacked for celebrating their self-confidence and sensuality when men are applauded and slapped on the back for it:

"When a young male artist posts a shirtless picture on Instagram the comments will be like, ‘Oh my God, hearts eyes, so hot, babe alert!’ Like whatever. If a woman posts a suggestive photo of anything that expresses her own sexuality or confidence within her body it’s a very different response.”

The star recently told the Sunday Times Style magazine that being a woman is especially hard because people feel as though they have a right to pass judgement on you: "Women can be anything."

"Are you a good girl or a bad girl? No! I’m a good girl, I’m a bad girl, I’m innocent, I’m sexy, I’m smart, I’m funny - I’m everything. Whatever I feel like wearing that day, it doesn’t define me. It defines what mood I’m in. That applies to all women."
