Having built a steady following over the past year, Mount Forel are set to release their debut album ‘Small Worlds’ on April 3rd, 2020, via their own Fallen Swine Records. The album will also be available on vinyl via Diggers Factory. More info at: https://www.diggersfactory.com/vinyl/227190/mount-forel-small-worlds

Recorded in the village of Witney at Shaken Oak Studios, the album was co-produced by the band and Jake Murray - who also mixed it, at London’s Strongroom Studios.

The striking album artwork was created by Hodaka Mitsui, an artist and actor from Shizuoka, Japan - her work often depicting moments of intense, piercing emotion. 6 individual album covers have been created for the release.

Mount Forel have released three singles to date. Debut single ‘America’, a sprawling six-minute epic featuring psych Neil Young esc guitars and schizophrenic drums, album opener ‘Greenland’, a song initially inspired by climate change and ‘Witney’ – a song which references the quiet and detached Oxfordshire town of the same name, where previous UK Prime Minister David Cameron comes from, and the troubles of the world seem a galaxy away.

Other notable tracks on the album include new single ‘Silicon Valley’, a song about corporate greed and ‘Costa Rica’, a dark and swirling track which ends with a full-on wig out jam.

Known for their unique gigs, Mount Forel recently played in a converted cinema in Walthamstow, East London, where the entire audience were blindfolded – giving fans a chance to completely immerse themselves in the music. Another show at Hackney Wick’s Grow saw the audience invited to paint a huge mural while the band played.

Not your average band – the members of Mount Forel hail from across the globe. Denver Colorado, The Wirral, Osaka, Northern Ireland, Dunedin New Zealand, Tokyo and Manchester to be precise. If you’re counting more places than band members you aren’t going mad, each member of Mount Forel counts at least 2 places as home.
