Avicii has topped a list of the quickest shifting singles of 2013 in the UK.

The Swedish DJ unleashed the track 'Wake Me Up' in June and it instantly became a smash hit.

The Official Charts Company have confirmed today (December 30) that it was the year's fastest selling single.

It sold a massive 267,000 copies on its first week on sale.

At No.2 on the list is Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines', which shifted 191,000 in its first seven days, and Katy Perry's 'Roar', which sold 180,000.

Next on the list is Jason Derulo's 'Talk Dirty' and X Factor winner Sam Bailey's 'Skyscraper'.
