Azealia Banks to attend anger management classes to avoid jail

Azealia Banks will complete 26-week course in return for reduced charges after allegedly punching and biting a Up&Down nightclub security guard on the breast.

Banks was due to stand trial for an alleged incident that happened in December 2015 in the New York club but she has instead agreed to take anger management classes.

John Vafa, an entertainment lawyer, who represented Banks said: "After conferring and working with Ms Banks' New York criminal attorney, we were able to negotiate and accept a plea deal.

"Ms Banks will participate in the ordered courses by the district attorney and the judge for 26 weeks."
