The Voice UK spins-off to BBC Two for exciting new sister show

Hit BBC One entertainment series, The Voice UK, is to have a spin-off show on BBC Two for the first time in its three year history.

The exciting new series will be presented by Zoe Ball, who also hosts Strictly Come Dancing's popular sister show, and it promises to be an unmissable nightly fix for fans of the BBC One series.

Broadcasting live at 6.30pm from Monday to Friday between The Voice UK's first live show and the live final, viewers will get an 'Access all Areas' pass to the series with 30-minutes each evening packed with exclusive interviews from the superstar coaches, special live performances from the finalists and all the goings-on and gossip from behind-the-scenes.

Zoe Ball says: "I'm super excited to be involved in The Voice UK, and I’m doing some star jumps and squats to limber up for action as I speak. Fans can think of me as the nosey naughty one who can ask questions we all want answering by their favourite acts and of course Kylie, Tom, will.i.am and Ricky. I shall bring everyone a little closer to the action and I promise not to sing!”

Moira Ross, Head of Entertainment, Wall to Wall, adds: "Having a spin-off series for The Voice UK means we can give fans of the show unprecedented access to everything that goes on behind the scenes and tell the stories we don't have time to cover on BBC One. With Zoe at the helm it will be a fun show full of tasty titbits, top guests and exclusive performances."

Series three of The Voice UK launched on BBC One on Saturday 11 January 2014 with a new star studded coaching panel of will.i.am, Kylie Minogue, Sir Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson, plus exciting new presenting duo Emma Willis and Marvin Humes. The Voice UK has been the most-watched Saturday night show on British TV in its first four weeks on air and peaked at over 10 million viewers last weekend (1 February).

The fifth instalment of The Voice UK is on BBC One this Saturday (8 February) at 7.10pm.

The new spin-off series has been commissioned by BBC Daytime Controller, Damian Kavanagh and Commissioning Editor, Pam Cavannagh. The series will be executive produced by Moira Ross and Alex McLeod for Wall to Wall.

The Voice format was developed by Talpa Media and is produced for the BBC by Wall to Wall in close collaboration with Talpa Media
