Leo Devine, Head of BBC South West, says: “It’s fantastic news that the new series of Poldark will be screened in Cornwall before it makes its national debut on BBC One. Cornwall offers the most beautiful backdrop to this epic drama and I am looking forward to celebrating the return of the second series with the people of St Austell - this really is a golden ticket event!”

There are 260 audience tickets available, including five spaces for wheelchairs. The first 100 ticket holders that arrive on the night will get to line the red carpet. All audience members will get to see the cast during the event. The event starts from 6pm, with registration from 5pm. Full terms and conditions can be found on the BBC Shows and Tours website.
