The Strictly Come Dancing Official Podcast from BBC Sounds is back! Twice-weekly episodes will give Strictly fans a backstage pass to the Strictly studios, revealing all the news, views, glitz and glamour behind the glitter ball.

The podcast will offer interviews with the contestants, professional dances, judges, fans and all those working behind the scenes at the ballroom.

Joe Sugg was the runner-up of last year’s Strictly Come Dancing and is a much-loved presenter and vlogger, with an audience of over eight million on his YouTube channel.

Kim Winston has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Strictly Come Dancing, having worked on the show since 2009, starting as Sir Bruce Forsyth’s researcher, working up to producing the live shows and heading up the dance team.

Joe Sugg says: “I'm really excited to be continuing my Strictly experience this year by hosting the podcast. The best laughs happen backstage, so I can’t wait to share these special moments with the fans at home."

Kim Winston says: “I have worked behind the scenes on Strictly Come Dancing for the past 10 years and am absolutely delighted to be hosting the podcast alongside Strictly superstar Joe. We’ll be taking the listeners backstage twice a week to hear all the goss from the studio and training rooms, making it the ultimate addition to the show.”

Paul Hembury, Executive Producer, TalentWorks, BBC Studios, says: “I am thrilled to welcome Joe and Kim to host the podcast this year. Joe’s Strictly journey last year captivated the nation, and his energy matched with Kim’s encyclopaedic knowledge of the show makes them the perfect match. It will be a must for Strictly fans.”

There will be 30 episodes in total, the bulk of which will be released weekly on Sundays and Thursdays, packed with exclusive backstage access to the Strictly studios. This year listeners will also be treated to four bonus episodes, introducing them to the 17th series, the new couples, the Christmas Special and the 2020 Strictly Tour.

The Strictly Come Dancing Official Podcast will be produced by BBC Studios TalentWorks. The Executive Producers are Paul Hembury and Katrina Bell.
