All-star presenter line-up announced for BBC Children in Need 2019

This November, a fantastic line-up of familiar faces will present the annual BBC Children In Need Appeal show on BBC One, as they help raise money for disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

Broadcast live from the BBC’s Elstree studios on Friday 15 November, expect a special night full of fun for all ages hosted by Tess Daly, Ade Adepitan, Graham Norton, Mel Giedroyc and Marvin and Rochelle Humes. Plus, comedian Tom Allen will also be taking on hosting duties this year as he joins the BBC Children In Need presenting line-up for the first time.

With live performances, sketches, music acts, fundraising films and guest appearances from some of the nation’s most loved stars, prepare for an unmissable night of entertainment and fundraising for the whole family.

Kate Phillips, Controller, Entertainment Commissioning for the BBC, says: “We have so many exciting things in store for viewers this year and I’m incredibly pleased to welcome Tom Allen as he joins this outstanding roster of talent who have offered their support to help raise money for BBC Children In Need. Every year I’m continuously amazed by the remarkable efforts of supporters across the UK who go above and beyond for the charity and the generosity of BBC viewers. We are hugely grateful.”

Already announced for this year’s campaign is the BBC Children In Need: Got It Covered entertainment documentary and album of cover songs featuring some of the UK’s biggest and best loved names from stage and screen. Also taking part in a special one-off project in aid of Pudsey, is presenter Rylan Clark-Neal who has volunteered to sing in a 24-hour karaoke marathon broadcast live on BBC Radio 2 from 9am on Tuesday 12 November.

More information on the Appeal night will be announced in due course.

The BBC Children In Need Appeal Show is a BBC Studios production, executive produced by Peter Davey and commissioned by Kate Phillips, Controller, Entertainment Commissioning for the BBC. The Commissioning Editor for the BBC is Rachel Ashdown.

BBC Children In Need relies on the generosity and creativity of the thousands of supporters and fundraisers who raise millions of pounds for the charity every year. To date, the UK public has raised over £1 billion for children and young people facing disadvantage across the UK.
