BBC One’s Celebrity Mastermind 2022 line up revealedDavid James, Janette Manrara, Ellie Taylor, The Vivienne and Jackie Weaver are among the familiar faces taking a seat in the famous chairOFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY BBC One The line-up for this year’s Celebrity Mastermind has today been confirmed, as 56 brave celebrities take on the famous black chair with their chosen specialist subjects. Clive Myrie is the new host when the series returns to BBC One on Saturday 5 February. Episode one features former England goalkeeper footballer, David James, comedian and actor, Ellie Taylor, popstar Antony Costa, and the most famous parish councillor in the country, Jackie Weaver. Clive Myrie says: “I can’t wait to reveal how some of the nation’s best loved celebrities deal with the black chair! It’ll be fun for viewers, though maybe less for our celebs, but win or lose, they’ll be helping their favourite charities. So bring it on!" As well as competing for a coveted Celebrity Mastermind trophy, the celebrities are all raising money for their chosen charity. Across the 14 episodes of Celebrity Mastermind, viewers can expect to see some of their favourite celebrities tackling specialist subjects ranging from; The History of Ice-Cream and Planets of the Solar System, to The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and the music of Cardi B. Wodehouse Week twelve Martin Offiah, former England rugby international on the battle of Britain Week thirteen Charlie Higson, actor and writer on classic Westerns of the 1950s and 60s Week fourteen James Acaster, comedian on the history of ice cream The current series of Mastermind is on-air every Monday on BBC2 at 7.30pm.
