Why did you apply to be on this brand-new reality series?

When I looked into it, I thought it seemed like a really interesting concept. There hasn't been a reality show like this. Something based on strategy and an adventure in the Scottish Highlands. I thought ‘why not? Let’s see where this goes and see what happens.’

What interested you about the concept?

The fact that it is not all about appearances and it focuses on thinking tactically and how you can manoeuvre yourself in sticky situations. Also, I love the physical element, the fact that there are going to be missions and adventures such as potentially abseiling down the side of a cliff in order earn more for the prize pool, or potentially horse riding through the mountains. Something along those lines is right up my street.

Are you quite an adventurous person?

One million percent! I always have little scrapes and scratches because I throw myself into physical challenges without much thought. I've always been called kamikaze since I was a kid, I'm very gung-ho and just go for it. I grew up in Suffolk, horse riding and running around in the forest. I think I get it from my dad who really loves adventure and team sports, like rugby, so I grew up like a tomboy.

What will you bring to the game?

I'm definitely a people person. I've seen the first episode of the Dutch version of the show, and I can see how brutal it is. I'm definitely going to take a very friendly approach, because that’s who I am and I wouldn't feel comfortable doing anything other than that. Also, I think I will bring a lot to the missions. I am the kind of person who will get stuck in and not complain.

Do you have a game plan?

From what I've determined from the show concept, I think whatever you do you're going to be a suspect and everyone will be suspicious of everybody else. I think my game plan is to keep a low profile, be myself, be friendly, nice and try to be a team player – that's the best approach I can think of.

Do you think you'll be good at deceiving your fellow players?

In real life I am a terrible liar. I am not comfortable lying, I fidget. Even if I'm not lying and I'm being accused of something, I will stutter, I will stumble over my words, and I might even start crying. I don't do well! But ultimately, I'm a performer, I'm a presenter, I act. I'm really trying to drill it into my head that this is a game, this is a performance. Once I've come to terms with that, I think I will be happy to do it. It's not real life, it's a game. Everyone's going in knowing that to win the game you have to lie, otherwise you'll be out straight away.

How good are you at spotting a liar?

I observe a lot, I do people watch and I also studied Psychology at university, so I do have quite a good read on people's characters. Then again, everyone's coming into this game with a strategy, a game plan and potentially thinking the same way as me. At first it will be difficult because I don't know these people, but I think as the show goes on and progresses, and hopefully I'll be around for that long, people's cracks will start to show, and I think I'm quite good at spotting the cracks.

If you're a Faithful, what qualities do you think you need to make it through to the final?

As a good Faithful, to make it through to the final I think I will need to keep a low profile and not cast accusations from the offset, as I'll end up being singled out by the Traitors. I think it's important to keep integrity and be as nice and friendly as possible, to keep the pleasantries in what will be, I think, a hostile environment.

Are you in it to win it?

Of course, I think with any game you go in to win. But if I don't win, it's not the end of the world. I'm happy just to be here for the experience and hopefully meet some really awesome new people and experience the Scottish Highlands in a castle, which is unreal.

If you win the prize money, what will you spend it on?

It’s a hard question because I don't know how much it will be! I've not even let myself think about it because I don't like to jinx things. I’m hoping that I can just get through at least the first few episodes to really get in the swing of things.
