Personalised Chopping Board

Stacey says: This Christmas, I invested £17.99 in an etching pen. I am obsessed with all the personalised chopping boards, rolling pins and keyrings you can buy, and now I can make them myself.

Essential Equipment
• Wood etching pen
• Scissors
• Pencil
• Rubbers
• Wooden chopping board
• Stencil
• Masking Tape
• Ribbon (optional extra)

Optional Extras to Personalise
Wooden photo frame
Wooden rolling pin
Wooden spoon

Instructions
1. Allow the etching pen tool to heat up for approximately five minutes.
2. Using the pencil, roughly draw on your design. A stencil and masking tape will help with more intricate designs.
3. Once the pen is heated you can begin to burn on your design, following the pattern you have traced. Be careful, it will be hot!
4. Rub out any remaining pencil.
5. For the finishing touch, cut some ribbon and tie a bow.
