Bobble Hat Garlands

Stacey says: "I thought a little pompom hat garland would be so cute! You’ll need to tie a thousand million knots in the yarn, so this is the craft for you if you’ve got a few evenings spare. Why not sit and watch a Christmas movie while you work."

Essential Equipment
• White yarn
• Scissors
• Comb
• Kitchen towel inner tube
• Cotton string or twine
• Red pom-poms
• Needle

Instructions
1. Cut kitchen towel tube into 2cm strips. Don’t worry if they flatten while you are working with them, they will take better shape later on. Cut one strip for each hat you plan to make.
2. Cut approximately 40 pieces of yarn for each hat you plan to make. The yarn should be about 30cm long.
3. Take one piece of yarn at a time. Fold the thread in half so you have a small loop at the top. 4. Hold the loop to the edge of your cardboard slip, and feed both ends of the thread around and through the loop to create a knot.
5. And repeat. Keep pulling the knots close together as you work your way around.
6. Now, you need to flip the yarn inside out. Give it a twist, and push it through the middle.
7. Finish pulling the yarn through and gently straighten it back out with your fingertips.
8. Using a piece of yarn, tie a loop around the loose strands to pull them together in the shape of a hat. Wrap the yarn around twice and tie tight.
9. Trim the yarn and gently brush out the pompom with a comb.
10. Take the twine and start tying the hats to the twine at the top of each hat. Add pom poms between each hat.
