Keanu’s world is turned upside down this summer when Lisa Fowler makes an unannounced visit to Walford, bringing his daughter Peggy Mitchell with her.

Lucy Benjamin will reprise her role as troubled Lisa for a short stint, three years after helping her daughter flee Walford in early 2020 with ex-fiancé Phil when Louise became convinced that she was responsible for Keanu’s murder. The pair have been bringing up baby Peggy in Portugal ever since, but little did Louise know that Keanu was actually alive after paid hitman Martin Fowler faked his death and let the terrified Taylor escape.

Now Lisa is back, it’s unclear what has driven her to seek out Keanu but one thing’s for sure, where Lisa goes, trouble inevitably follows…

On her comeback, Lucy Benjamin says: “I can't wait to make my return as Lisa Fowler again after leaving for Spain with Louise and granddaughter Peggy, back in 2019. No doubt, in true Lisa fashion, she will bring with her plenty of drama for many of the characters on the Square, which is why playing her is such a delight.”

Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer, says: “I’m delighted to welcome Lucy back to the iconic role of Lisa Fowler. We last saw Lisa three years ago when she and daughter Louise fled Walford following the Christmas reveal of Sharon and Keanu’s affair. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her back for a short while as she and granddaughter Peggy cause trouble between the happy couple.”

About

Notes to Editors:

• Lisa Fowler made Walford history when she was unmasked as the person who gunned down Phil Mitchell on his doorstep in the 2001 ‘Who Shot Phil?’ storyline.

• Her toxic relationship with the Mitchell hardman saw Lisa marry Mark Fowler and try to pretend her daughter Louise wasn’t Phil’s child.

• Lucy’s episodes will air in Summer of 2023.

• Her last stint in the show lasted from September 2019 to January 2020.
