June 19, 2024 - Ahead of the General Election on 4 July, Fiona Bruce will host a Question Time Leaders’ Special with the leaders of the four biggest political parties in Great Britain on Thursday 20 June.

How to watch the Question Time Leaders' Special on TV and BBC iPlayer

The two hour special will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 8pm on Thursday 20 June.

Who's taking part in the Question Time Leaders' Special?

The participants in the Question Time Leaders’ Special on 20 June are:

• Rishi Sunak – Conservative Party
• Sir Keir Starmer – Labour Party
• John Swinney – Scottish National Party
• Sir Ed Davey – Liberal Democrats

An additional Question Time Leaders’ Special, featuring representatives from Reform UK and the Green Party, will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 8pm on Friday 28 June.

How the Question Time Leaders' Special will work

In the two-hour special, the leaders will have 30 minutes to answer questions from the live studio audience in York in the established Question Time format.

The order the leaders will appear is Sir Ed Davey, John Swinney, Sir Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak. This has been agreed among the BBC and political parties.

As is the case with every Question Time programme, questions will reflect the subjects people are most interested in and the audience will submit questions in advance and on the night.

The selected audience will reflect a wide range of political sentiment and voting intentions from across Great Britain.

BBC Network TV

Wednesday 26 June, Nottingham – Mishal Husain will host a head-to-head debate between Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer. This is set to be the last TV debate of the election campaign, as people prepare to cast their votes the following week. It will be broadcast from 9pm-10pm.

Wales

Friday 21 June - Join Bethan Rhys Roberts for the Wales Leaders’ Debate live from Central Square, BBC Wales’s broadcast hub in Cardiff at 7pm. A digital live page will run during the leaders’ debate offering analysis and reaction. It will be simulcast on BBC Radio Wales.

There will also be two special Hawl i Holi debate programmes for BBC Radio Cymru from Ystradgynlais and Wrexham.
