July 23, 2024 - Mark Wright is joining popular BBC One home-makeover show: Clean It, Fix It.

Mark will present alongside DIY legend Tommy Walsh, expert cleaner Maxine Dwyer, and creative carpenter Asher Edwards.

The popular series is currently filming across the UK and will return to BBC One and iPlayer in 2025. Mark will make his debut for series four, helping to improve people’s lives by solving practical problems around their houses - making their homes more liveable without breaking the bank. And if you’re one of those people in need and just don’t know what to do, then you can apply to be on the next series!*

Mark Wright comments, “I’m passionate about property and renovations, so I’m delighted to be joining such a wonderful team and programme. I can’t wait to get stuck in and help change people’s lives and living situations. Clean It, Fix It has a heart, we come in and help people out who sometimes can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, so helping people in this way is great, and sometimes tugs on the heart-strings – especially when the owners see the finished result.”

The team will have two days to transform aspects of a home in desperate need of some TLC. From a shortage of storage space, the need for a cleaning overhaul, or DIY disasters, the team will get stuck in, finding solutions for any problem.

Audiences will also get helpful tips and tricks from the experts themselves on what to do at home when tackling these problems, revealing clever, take-out hacks anyone can achieve.

Alex McLeod, Commissioner for BBC Daytime comments, “With the cost of living crisis everyone has felt the pinch at home, Clean It, Fix It not only offers light relief to audiences but can also help inspire and give them cost-effective ways to change up their homes, without costing a fortune. And now with Mark joining our brilliant team of experts, there is going to be even more laughs and probably even more tears as he gets to the heart of the stories in this series.”

Claire Simpson, Executive Producer, Curve Media, comments, “The team are back and with the new addition of Mark, audiences can expect to see even more warmth and fun for this exciting new series. It’s going to be packed full of energy, tips, tricks and solutions that anyone will be able to do at home.”

We give people a platform that will hopefully help resolve some of the issues many of us face when trying to keep our homes tidy. We give people a foundation to build on, and continue to live brighter, happier lives.”

Maxine Dwyer comments, “I am so happy to be back. I’ll definitely be stealing Asher’s tools and using them to help me clean, and you can bet I’ll be making Mark get his hands dirty!”

Asher Edwards comments, “I love helping people and sharing my carpentry expertise so homeowners can think outside the box, in order to problem solve and enjoy their homes again. I can’t wait to get back and film with the team.”

Clean It, Fix It will return to BBC One and iPlayer in 2025.

Clean It, Fix It is commissioned by Rob Unsworth, Head of BBC Daytime and Early Peak Commissioning. The Commissioning Editor for BBC Daytime is Alex McLeod and the Executive Producer for Curve Media is Claire Simpson.
