Nadiya cooks up a storm for friends and family with brand new BBC Two seriesOFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY BBC TWO Nadiya Hussain returns to BBC Two with a brand new eight-part series Nadiya’s Family Favourites, with a wealth of dishes for families and friends to fit in with modern life. Whether preparing food on a busy school night, or catering for a lazy social Sunday, the series will open the lid on the kinds of food Nadiya prepares for her family and friends, demonstrating how to create the perfect dishes to compliment these shared experiences. Nadiya says: “I’m delighted to be able to share some of my family's favourite recipes that I've put together to suit different times and situations, from Wind Down Weekends to Family Occasions and the comings and goings of a hectic family life.” Bringing her trademark warm and inclusive style to the show, each episode sees Nadiya prepare four recipes. Her creations across the series include Spatchcock Spicy Chicken with Ghee Potatoes and Baked Pear and Marzipan Crumble. As well as preparing tantalising meals in the kitchen, the series will also see Nadiya out and about with specially filmed inserts. In Home Made, Nadiya meets producers to see what make the perfect every day ingredient such as olive oil or red wine vinegar. And in Store Cupboard, Nadiya will meet people who make amazing products from their home kitchens – and learn how to make the perfect Cornish pasty from the World’s Best Cornish Pasty maker, and meet 102 year old champion marmalade maker who shares her secrets for the perfect spread. Patrick Holland, Channel Editor, BBC Two, says: "Nadiya is such a brilliant voice on BBC Two and the audience loved her passion, skill and natural warmth.
