BBC wins six awards at The Griersons

Numerous single films and the acclaimed BBC Two series Once Upon a Time in Iraq took top honours at the British Documentary Awards with the BBC winning more awards than any other broadcaster.

The BBC won six awards at the 2021 British Documentary Awards, The Griersons.

BBC Two series, Once Upon a Time in Iraq from Keo Films won two awards for Best History Documentary and Best Documentary Series.

Four Storyville films for BBC Four also won awards: Welcome to Chechnya: The Gay Purge won Best Current Affairs Documentary; Locked In: Breaking the Silence won Best Science Documentary; and The Mole: Infiltrating North Korea was awarded Best Entertaining Documentary and Collective: Unravelling a Scandal won Best Single Documentary - International.
