Now in its eighth year, the biggest event in the teen calendar was hosted by Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Nick Grimshaw and co-host Rita Ora and featured performances from Liam Payne, Dua Lipa, The Vamps, Camila Cabello and co-host Rita Ora. The inspirational stories and achievements of four amazing Radio 1 teen heroes were at the heart of the event - with stars from the world of entertainment, music and sport - including Luke Evans, Louisa Johnson, Ella Eyre, James Arthur, Tom Daley and the cast of EastEnders joining in the celebrations at the glitzy ceremony. Radio 1’s Teen Hero Winners of 2017 are: My Mind & Me Teen Hero Award for Mental Health - Holly (15) and Oliver (13) One Million Hours Teen Hero Award for Volunteering - Charlotte (17) Generally Amazing Teen Hero Award - Harrison (12) The celebrity awards were voted for by Radio 1’s listeners.
