The BBC today confirms the names of the six acts and songs that will take to the Eurovision: You Decide stage this Friday 27 January to compete for the honour of representing the United Kingdom at Eurovision 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Hosted by Mel Giedroyc, the 90-minute UK Selection show will be broadcast live on BBC Two at 7.30pm from The Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith and will feature performances by the six competing acts before the vote opens.

The six acts and songs were revealed today on BBC Radio 2’s Ken Bruce show and are as follows (in alphabetical order):

Danyl Johnson - Light Up The World

Holly Brewer - I Wish I Loved You More

Lucie Jones - Never Give Up On You

Nate Simpson - What Are We Made Of

Olivia Garcia - Freedom Hearts

Salena Mastroianni - I Don’t Wanna Fight

The six songs and tickets to attend the event are available to listen via bbc.co.uk/eurovision

Also on the night, an expert panel will be on hand to offer their thoughts on how the songs could be made to look and sound on stage in Kyiv. They are Bruno Tonioli, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and CeCe Sammy. They will form part of an eight person jury.

The winner of Eurovision: You Decide 2017 will be decided by a combination of viewer and jury votes.

The public can vote for their favourite song via telephone or online.

Eurovision: You Decide will also feature two special music performances; the first from 2009 winner Alexander Rybak performing his classic song Fairytale, and the second, by British Pop Rock Band, The Vamps performing their song All Night.

The 62nd Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Kyiv, Ukraine. The Semi Finals will be broadcast on Tuesday 9 and Thursday 11 May on BBC Four, and the Grand Final will be broadcast on 13 May on BBC One.
