US: BMG US Artists and Songwriters Score Record 27 Number Ones on Charts in a Single Week

BMG US recording artists and songwriters have once again raised the Billboard chart bar this week (chart week dated July 25, 2020) as they tally a new record of 27 Number Ones, in a single week, across genres from Hip-Hop, Pop, and Classical, to Rock and Alternative.

BMG songwriter Juice WRLD’s posthumous album Legends Never Die debuts at Number One on the Billboard 200, Top Album Sales, Top Current Album Sales, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, Top Rap Albums, and Billboard Canadian Albums, while the artist himself catapults to the top of the Billboard Artist 100. His single ‘Come & Go (with Marshmello)’ notches Number Ones on the Alternative Digital Song Sales, Alternative Streaming Songs, Hot Alternative Songs, Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, Streaming Songs, and On-Demand Streaming Songs charts.

BMG publishing client SAINt JHN claims Number Ones on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs, and Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales charts with ‘Roses (Imanbek Remix)’, while the album track ‘Roses’ goes to Number One on the Canadian Hot 100 and Canada CHR/Top 40 charts.

AJR’s newest single ‘Bang!’ captures the top spot on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart as the BMG recording artists climb from number three to Number One this week.

Lewis Capaldi’s single ‘Someone You Loved’, co-written by BMG songwriters Lewis Capaldi and TMS, spends its eighth week on top of the Hot 100 Recurrents chart.

‘Memories’ (Maroon 5) co-written by BMG publishing clients Jon Bellion and Jordan Johnson spends its 19th week at Number One on the Adult Contemporary chart.

Rise Records artist Dance Gavin Dance re-enter the Billboard charts with week with their latest set Afterburner claiming the Number One spot on the Vinyl Albums chart.

BMG recording artist Lindsey Stirling’s Artemis maintains its top position on the Classical Crossover Albums chart. The BMG recording artist has now logged 11 weeks at Number One.

BMG publishing client Margo Price’s new album That’s How Rumors Get Started debuts at Number One Tastemaker Albums.

‘Don’t Start Now’ (Dua Lipa) co-written by BMG songwriter Caroline Ailin comes in at Number One on the Canada AC chart.

‘Intentions’ (Justin Bieber ft. Quavo) co-written by BMG publishing client Poo Bear goes to Number One on the Canada Hot AC chart.

Up and coming BMG recording artist JJ Wilde’s single ‘The Rush’, from her debut full-length album Ruthless, spends its 12th week at Number One on the Canada Rock chart.

Previously BMG artists and songwriters claimed 21 Number Ones in January 2019, 22 Number Ones in May 2018 and again in October 2019, 23 Number Ones in December 2018 and again January 2019, with a record-high 24 Number Ones in February 2019.
