Title: BPI Training: How to be an Ally at Work AboutAbout Allyship in the workplace Allyship is increasingly regarded as a critical stepping stone in creating an inclusive workplace. But what does Allyship mean and look like in practice? This 90-minute session is designed to answer these questions. Delivered through the lens of intersectionality, attendees will work independently and through group discussions to develop a shared understanding of Allyship. Attendees will also hear from panel of contributors from a cross section of diverse groups who will share simple actions that people can take to become allies to their colleagues, including from marginalised communities, and enhance a culture of inclusion at work. Allyship requires a collective effort; therefore, the workshop is designed for employees at all levels, irrespective of seniority. Previous BPI Training workshops in support of EDI have covered a wide range of topics including Diversity in the Ranks, Let's Talk About Race, Unconscious Bias in the Workplace, How Recruitment Practices Can Be Diversified, Understanding Anti-Semitism, Career Progression for Diverse Talent, and Deaf People in the Music Industry? A Myth-busting Workshop.
