SPOTIFY AND THE FEATURED ARTISTS’ COALITION TO SPEAK AT BPI AGM

BPI is pleased to announce that Spotify’s Kevin Brown and the FAC’s Crispin Hunt will address the music organisation’s members at its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 4th September 2013.

Spotify’s Head of Label Relations, Kevin Brown, will focus on the importance of Spotify as a valuable marketing platform for labels.  Kevin is responsible for developing and maintaining senior relationships with key major and indie label partners across Europe, creating new artist-focused initiatives, and serving as an advocate, educator and ambassador for the unique Spotify platform.

Former Longpigs member, Crispin Hunt, will discuss the influence of Independent Music in the digital age and his views on the opportunities for the music industry to re-brand itself in this new era.  The multi-platinum songwriter and record producer has written and worked with many established acts from Jake Bugg, Rihanna, and Cee Lo Green to Florence + The Machine, Lana Del Rey, and Rod Stewart. He is Co-CEO of the Featured Artists’ Coalition and Creative Director of the Ledbury Poetry Festivals 'Lyric Weekend'.

The formal proceedings of the AGM, including hustings to elect BPI Council members, will take place during the event. The meeting will be held at the BPI’s County Hall offices from 2.00pm – 5.00pm.
