BTS "ON" Track To Land In UK Top Ten

BTS are on course to land in the UK Top Ten of the Official Singles Chart with "ON" after the release of their eagerly awaited new album, Map of the Soul: 7, which features guest appearances by Halsey and Sia.

This means "ON" may become the Korean phenomenon's first UK Top 10, and their third UK Top 40.

Sia features on one of the two versions of the single on their new 20-track LP.

BTS' Map of the Soul: 7 amassed over 33.8 million streams on Spotify during its first 24 hours of release, making the group currently the most streamed artists on the global platform.

Meanwhile, talking about their new album this week (watch below), BTS explained that in some ways it reflects their incredible and unparalleled journey in the music industry.

RM said: "Love is not always about the good things.

"When we love something or somebody, it's like admitting, recognizing all the history that someone or something's got. It could be shades and shadows, maybe some dark sides. So yeah, it's basically a love song for our career."

When asked about the meaning of "ON," RM replied that it "could symbolize many things."

He said: "[It is about how] we might face some shadows or maybe disasters even from now on, but we already admitted these as part of ourselves. It's like a big statement and a manifesto that we're going to carry on."

V explained: "I didn't know any of these people, but seven, eight years that we've been living together, we've been together, I've learned that these [BTS] are very important and precious people for me."

As reported earlier, the K-pop superstars will premiere "ON" on US TV screens tomorrow night (Feb. 24) on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

They will also do an extended interview, perform, and be given a fun tour of some of the most famous landmarks in New York City.

[Updated Feb. 24 at 9:00am EST] Map of the Soul: 7 has topped 3 million copies sold on Hanteo and has been termed as one of the best selling albums of all time in South Korea.
