In a first for the brands, Greatest Hits Radio and Hits Radio have united to collaborate on a special one-off Elton John programme that will be broadcast simultaneously across the stations this week.

Coinciding with the release of his much-anticipated new album ‘The Lockdown Sessions’, fans will be able to hear Elton John in conversation with Fleur East this Wednesday 27th October at 7pm. The hour-long special will feature an exclusive interview all set to a soundtrack of music from the new album and the greatest hits that make Elton the music icon he is.

Listen in as the singer speaks about the new album, recording in lockdown, working with both new and legendary talent plus he gets reflective on finishing his final ever tour.

Reaching a potential audience of over 6 million listeners, the interview will go out across the Greatest Hits Radio Network in England, Scotland, Wales, and the full Hits Radio Network in England, Scotland, Wales, including local station Lincs FM in Lincolnshire, Pirate FM in Cornwall and Wave 105 in the south of England.

Speaking about the collaboration, Group Programme Director for the Hits Radio Brand Network Gary Stein said “We are always looking at new innovative ways we can partner with the music industry to bring our listeners closer to the latest artists and releases. With a pool of passionate music lovers across our brands, exciting collaborations such as this one are a fantastic opportunity to use our scale to connect artists and audiences.”
