The Radio Academy has announced that Clyde 1 will mark its incredible year at the upcoming Radio Academy Festival, with a special talk hosted by Content Director Victoria Easton-Riley and Drive host Garry Spence.

The station, based in Glasgow, picked up an amazing seven awards at The ARIAS earlier this year, including Gold for The John Myers Award for Local Station of the Year. Exploring all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes, the talk will be a fascinating insight for anyone working or aspiring to work in the industry.

Taking place on 7 September at the Royal College of Physicians in London, the Radio Academy Festival is the biggest gathering of radio and audio people in the UK, and a fantastic opportunity to network and make new connections.

It is the charity’s annual day of celebration, debate and discussion, where delegates can hear from the movers and shakers in UK radio and audio - the bosses, the presenters, the politicians, and the leading creatives in our incredible industry. This year’s theme is The Power of Audio with all sessions focusing on the deep connection between audio and its listeners.

As previously announced, Absolute Radio’s Dave Berry will also be a special guest speaker at the event, talking about his four years waking up Absolute Radio listeners and how the team took Gold for Best Music Breakfast Show at The ARIAS in 2022.

The festival will also include:

• Eurovision star Sam Ryder in conversation with Scott Mills
• Radio 2’s Michelle Visage and Clyde 1’s Garry Spence on the bill
• talkSPORT and former Lionesses star Lianne Sanderson
• Radio 4’s Emma Barnett on her Woman’s Hour ARIAS win

Tickets are on sale now priced at £149+VAT , head to Radio Academy Festival - Radio Academy
