GAME OF THRONES ACTOR THOMAS BRODIE-SANGSTER STARS IN THE LUKA STATE’S GRITTY MUSIC VIDEO

English actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster, well known for his role as Jojen Reed in HBO series Game of Thrones, has lent his acting credentials to a music video entitled ’30 Minute Break’ by Cheshire based indie-rock trio The Luka State.

The gritty hard-hitting music video can make for uncomfortable viewing at times, depicting a troubled relationship where Sangster becomes the victim of domestic violence. The Luka State and the video director, newcomer Oliver Kember, wanted to convey something real and bitter sweet that shows love isn’t always straightforward.  Lead singer of the band Conrad Ellis describes the video as: “A bit like the film True Romance by Tarantino… It’s about the things you do in the name of love that don’t always seem to make sense.”

Sangster met The Luka State bassist Sam Bell when they both starred in the John Lennon biopic ‘Nowhere Boy’ (2009). Sangster portrayed the character of Paul McCartney, with Bell as his fellow Beatle George Harrison, and the pair have remained friends ever since. Sangster states: "When he [Sam] showed me this script I jumped at the opportunity to help out. I love the way the story slowly unfolds and how its not until the very end that you understand why the couple stay together".

’30 Minute Break’ is a guitar-driven slice of crashing, energetic rock ‘n’ roll and is due for release digitally on 24th March 2014. However, you can get a free download of the track for a limited time by liking the band’s Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/thelukastate/app_178091127385
