Jon Bon Jovi on daughter's overdose: 'There's no manual on parenting'

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi has admitted that while his daughter Stephanie's drug overdose came as a shock, there were no "tell-tale" signs for him to act on.

Back in November 2012, Stephanie Bongiovi was taken to hospital after being found unconscious at her Hamilton College dorm room by an ambulance crew and it was later revealed that she had overdosed.

Speaking to Extra about the ordeal, The 'Livin' On A Prayer' star explained that he's a conscious parent and would never have guessed she was involved in such a scene because nothing about her behaviour hinted at it:

"There's no manual that comes with parenting. You surround your kids with love, give them everything you can, you learn, you listen and there were no tell tale signs."

He confirmed that she's doing well now and added: "Steph's doing great, no BS... she's doing great. I'm blessed that she's whole. I'm blessed that she's really back to being the kid I know."
