Boyce Avenue: '1D have one of the rowdiest fanbases in the history of music'

Boyce Avenue reckon One Direction have some of the most devoted fans ever seen in music.

The trio opened up for the pop group on their Up All Night tour in the UK and Ireland.

Speaking to Pressparty, Boyce Avenue's Alejandro Manzano said it was "insane" to play for One Direction's fans.

He added that the two groups developed a "mutual" bond when the 'History' stars were on the X Factor in 2010.

Manzano said about One Direction's devotees: "They are the rowdiest fanbase that I think we will ever see.

"I feel like they have one of the most fanatical fanbases in the history of music. Period. It was insane to play for those crowds.

"It was cool to see the whole One Direction thing from the beginning, because Louis [Tomlinson] had tweeted us when they were still on the X Factor, and he was saying that they would use a lot of our cover arrangements as they arranged their own covers.

"Because of that mutual admiration, we connected on Twitter and they asked us to open up for them. To see them going week-to-week trying to avoid elimination to becoming one of the biggest acts in the entire planet...it was a pretty cool thing to witness."

Boyce Avenue meanwhile released their new album 'Road Less Traveled' on Friday (April 15).
