11-year-old singer-songwriter Giorgia Borg seriously impressed judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon with her powerhouse performance on Britain's Got Talent 2019. Giorgia sang her heart out with her original soulful song ‘10’, making her the youngest ever contestant to receive The Golden Buzzer.
Now, Giorgia makes her debut with the release of that very single that shot her into the spotlight, ‘10’ on July 3rd.
Prior to BGT, Giorgia had been taking singing lessons for 5 years, where she excelled with her powerhouse voice despite only being very young. Her showstopping vocals started taking her places and lead to Giorgia performing at events and festivals across the world.
After finding her rhythm with live performances, Giorgia took the leap to the prestigious Saturday night show Britain’s Got Talent. Her ground shaking performance shot the 10-year-old star into the spotlight where she received praise from Heat, Smooth Radio, Metro, The Daily Mail, Huffington Post and many more publications.
Speaking more on her original single, Giorgia explained: “The song is about how important it is to take children’s opinions, feelings and thoughts seriously. Just because we’re young and don’t know everything about life yet and we’re still learning, it doesn’t make us any less valuable than the adults. However, at the same time we still need guidance, love and protection.”
As well as her powerhouse voice, Giorgia is a fantastic personality and has garnered a loyal online following of young aspiring musicians. Her message is to inspire others, not to be like her but to be true to themselves.
‘10’ will release July 3rd on all streaming platforms. Having already captured the hearts of the nations, Giorgia is one to watch.
