New Bedtime Stories available on the BBC Kids skill on Amazon smart speakers
Little ones can snuggle up and listen to a collection of new Bedtime Stories on smart speakers this winter. Read by some by some of CBeebies famous friends, children can enjoy listening to stories read by musician George Ezra and actors Tom Hardy, Maureen Lipman and Sharon D Clarke on the BBC Kids skill on Amazon smart speakers from today.

Children and parents can simply say “Open CBeebies” to begin their adventure and choose from a selection of stories including:

Bear on my Chair - read by Tom Hardy, written by Ross Collins

Tom Hardy tells the hilarious story about an angry little mouse who is desperately trying to move a bear from his chair. Written by Ross Collins, Tom recounts how the mouse tries all kind of tactics to move the pesky bear, all to no avail. The mouse eventually gives up, but wait - could there be a twist to this tale?

Under the Same Sky - read by George Ezra, written by Britta Teckentrup

George Ezra reads Under the Same Sky by Britta Teckentrup, a story about the hopes and dreams that we all experience under the same sky.

Grandma’s House - read by Maureen Lipman, written by Alice Melvin

Maureen Lipman reads Grandma's House by Alice Melvin, a story about a little girl's visit to her grandma's house. But where is Grandma?

Rusty the Squeaky Robot - read by Sharon D Clarke, written by Neil Clark

Sharon D Clarke reads a sci-fi story about a robot called Rusty. Rusty squeaks. None of the other robots on Planet Robotone squeak and this makes him sad. But with the help of his robot friends, Rusty learns that it's good to be different.

This collection of stories joins others launched last month on the BBC Kids skill including, Dog Loves Books read by American singer-songwriter Dolly Parton, Pink Lion read by actor Pearl Mackie, Lion Practice read by Olympic athlete Jessica Ennis-Hill and Hugless Douglas read by actor Mark Bonnar.

The BBC Kids skill launched earlier this year on Amazon Echo devices, with three games from CBeebies, Little Monster’s Hide and Seek, Andy’s Adventure Dance Party and Go Jetter’s Glitchy Facts and recently added another game Hey Duggee and the Music Badge. More exciting voice content is due launch before Christmas.
