The CBS Newsmagazine Was the # 1 Non-Sports Primetime Program Sunday Night

60 MINUTES was the #5 primetime program in the first week of the 2020-2021 season. The broadcast drew 7.6 million viewers according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Sept. 27.

The CBS newsmagazine was also Sunday's #1 non-sports primetime program.

Sunday's 60 MINUTES featured Lesley Stahl's report about a Florida amendment meant to restore voting rights to over a million felons, a Sharyn Alfonsi investigation of a questionable contractor who got almost $2 billion in border wall contracts; and a profile of BBC wildlife filmmaker Sir David Attenborough by Anderson Cooper.

Bill Owens is the executive producer of 60 MINUTES, America's most-watched news program.
