Camila Cabello unveils first SKECHERS commercial in English and Spanish

After announcing that she was the new face of both L'Oreal and Guess, Camila Cabello also announced this month her partnership with the American footwear brand, Skechers

Makes sense, as who wouldn't want to be in her shoes right now?

To the excitement of Cabello's fans, the 20-year-old has now unveiled her first commercial for the campaign in both English and Spanish. The dual language videos advertising Skechers Hi-Lites are a comfortable fit for Cabello, who is of Cuban and Mexican heritage and emigrated from Havana to Miami at the young age of just five.

In a statement, the pop star said: “It’s so important for me to pay homage to my Cuban/Mexican roots. My culture is such a huge part of who I am. While working on my solo album, I have been listening to Spanish and English musicians -- pulling inspiration from influencers I grew up with. I grew up speaking Spanish around my house and listened to primarily Spanish music before discovering Michael Jackson and all of the artists I listen to today.”

President of Skechers, Michael Greenberg, said: "Camila is a natural heir to our legacy of singing superstars – she’s already loved by millions, and is the one to watch this year and beyond.

"She was one of Times'25 Most Influential Teens' last year, has hit songs in both English and Spanish and reaches an elusive segment of the market – millennials and Generation Z fans. With her confidence and character, she’s a great global icon for our brand."

In the commercial, Cabello enthuses: "It's why I love my new Skechers. They're hip, stylish, colorful and inspired."
