“I’m Ready” is an unabashed slice of pop perfection – a bold declaration by the pair that they are ready to be loved. Their emotive vocals soar over a powerful gospel chorus and pulsating bassline. The global superstars announced their collaboration earlier this week via Instagram.

The video finds Sam and Demi competing in a variety of Olympian events – wrestling, diving, synchronized swimming, gymnastics and a 100 meter race – culminating in a medal ceremony as the song reaches its epic climax. It was helmed by award-winning director Jora Frantzis (Cardi B, Rosalia) and renowned choreographer Sean Bankhead (Normani, Missy Elliot). The remarkable cast of competitors includes Valentina (James Leyva), Karis (Charis Wilde), Alok (Alok Vaid-Menon), Gigi Goode (Samuel S. Geggie) from Season 12 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” Shea Diamond (Shagasyia Diamond) and Jeffrey Williams.

“I’m Ready” will appear on Smith’s third studio album, due out later this year. The single is the first of the new music Smith promised fans in this recent album postponement announcement.

Since the release of their 2014 debut album, In The Lonely Hour, Smith has sold over 25 million adjusted albums worldwide. They have won four GRAMMY Awards®, an Oscar, a Golden Globe and three BRIT Awards. Smith’s sophomore album, The Thrill Of It All, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2017 and also topped the charts in the U.K., Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands and Belgium. Awarded four stars by Rolling Stone, the album included the hit single “Too Good At Goodbyes,” which recently became Smith’s second song to receive over a billion streams on Spotify, after “Stay With Me.”

In the course of the last year, Smith has released a trio of smash singles. The chart-topping collaboration with Normani, “Dancing with a Stranger,” has sold more than 10 million units and racked up over two billion streams worldwide. It was followed by “How Do You Sleep?,” which has amassed over 600 million global streams, and “To Die For,” which bowed on Valentine’s Day along with its accompanying video.

Demi Lovato is a globally renowned, multi-platinum singer with one of the biggest social media followings of 108+ million. Her 2008 debut album, Don’t Forget, was followed with sold-out world tours and five hit records, including 2017’s Tell Me You Love Me, featuring the viral hit "Sorry Not Sorry." Other hit singles include "Cool for the Summer" and "Heart Attack," among others. In early 2020, she made her return to the stage with the debut of “Anyone” at the GRAMMY Awards® and appeared at Super Bowl LIV, where she performed the National Anthem, followed by the recent release of her empowering new single “I Love Me.” The accompanying video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis (Ariana Grande, Drake, Nicki Minaj), can be viewed HERE. Alongside her music, Demi has also maintained an acting career, and can currently be seen in the final season of NBC's "Will & Grace," as well as the upcoming Netflix feature film, “Eurovision,” with Will Ferrell, Rachel McAdams and Pierce Brosnan.

Lovato has been honored with numerous awards, including an MTV Video Music Award, five People’s Choice Awards, an ALMA Award, a Latin American Music Award, and a GLAAD Vanguard Award for LGBTQ activism. She has received two GRAMMY® Award nominations, four Billboard Music Award nominations and three Brit Award nominations. Lovato is a passionate global advocate for mental health, named by Global Citizen as the organization’s official ambassador in 2017. She was also honored by the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA, with the Artistic Award for Courage, and is a New York Times best-selling author.

Lovato kicked off 2020 with the debut of her powerhouse ballad “Anyone” during a stripped-down performance at the GRAMMY Awards®, and then quickly followed it up by performing the National Anthem at Super Bowl LIV, proving that she is back stronger than ever. Most recently, the multi-platinum, GRAMMY® nominated singer/songwriter released her up-tempo, self-reflective new single “I Love Me” that was accompanied by a colorful official music video directed by Hannah Lux Davis (Ariana Grande, Drake, Nicki Minaj).
