For most popular K-pop groups, offline concerts typically draw an average audience of 10,000 people per concert. SuperM’s Beyond LIVE show demonstrates a new growth potential for concert business, with the audience size increased by 7.5 times when compared to offline concerts.

SuperM’s Beyond LIVE concert presented unparalleled camera work, AR technology, 3D graphics that are augmented in real-time, and a variety of virtual backdrops to showcase colorful performances that dynamically conveyed the artists’ music and message. Reviewing the show, Variety wrote, “SuperM embraced the digital experience, allowing for features that cannot be experienced in person."

In addition to fan favorites from their debut EP The 1st Mini Album ‘SuperM,’ and solo songs by each member, SuperM teased new upcoming music with a medley performance. They also performed a brand-new song, “Tiger Inside,” for the first time, with AR-implemented tigers prowling the stage. They closed out the show with their hit song “Jopping,” performing against a virtual backdrop of a massive coliseum and lights filling the concert hall.

With Beyond LIVE being an interactive communication-based series which transmits the voices of viewers in real time, the group were able to have video chats with selected fans from Korea, United States, China, Thailand, Japan, and New Zealand. Fans were also able to take part in interactive challenges with the group, and members from fellow SM Entertainment Group, Red Velvet, made a surprise guest appearance during the show.

The next Beyond LIVE performances will be WayV on May 2, NCT DREAM on May 9, and NCT 127 on May 16, all at 11 pm PT respectively. For more information, visit BELOW.
