Carly Rae Jepsen on her friendship and being 'proud' of Justin Bieber

Songstress Carly Rae Jepsen has opened up about her friendship with 'As Long As You Love Me' hitmaker Justin Bieber, and revealed that she thought he dealt with the Comedy Central Roast in a very mature and good-natured way.

The 'I Really Like You' beauty confessed to Heat Radio that she was proud of Bieber's reaction to being roasted in such a public way and thought he handled it incredibly well:

"I was there in the front row for the Bieber roast. That was a lot of fun - you could see he was so light-hearted about it. I was proud. It was funny, we were on a table with all the people from his management team, and every time there was a good joke, we were all guilty drinking our wine and being like, 'Is it OK if we laugh?'"

Jepsen and Bieber share a manager in Scooter Braun, and she went onto add that after spending a lot of time with the Canadian superstar, she knows he's a truly good person and doesn't like to hear bad things said about him:

"We're good friends. We've travelled the world a lot together. When you experience something as crazy as that, you always feel bonded. I think his new song is awesome."
