Caroline Flack has ended her stint as the host of the Xtra Factor.

The TV personality has presided over the X Factor spin-off show on ITV2 for three years.

However, she took to her social networking channels on Wednesday (June 11) to confirm that she won't be returning to the show.

Flack said in a statement: "Heyyyyyy! After three brilliant years of hosting Xtra Factor its time to pass the baton. It's been incredible and I'll never forget it (sic).

"How can I when I am married to Louis Walsh? It's all he ever talks about at home. I wish the new team all the best and look forward to watching the new series."

The news came on the same day that Spice Girl Mel B was confirmed for the X Factor's final judging seat.

She will line up alongside the returning duo Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell, as well as stalwart Louis Walsh.
