Carrie Underwood: 'Criticism depends on who it's coming from'

Country sensation Carrie Underwood has revealed that she doesn't like to read reviews of her music or articles about herself because it can be destructive to come across something you don't like.

Speaking to USA Today about handling criticism, the beauty admitted that she tries not to pay too much attention because the remarks are often just there to incite a reaction, especially when they're made by the press.

Underwood explained that the weight of the criticism varies depending on its origin: "There's a lot of difference between hearing from your fans and hearing from people who didn't like you in the first place."

The 'Blown Away' songstress will host The 48th Annual CMA Awards on November 5 with fellow country musician Brad Paisley and she went onto add that it's nice to read positive comments about herself and her skills as an entertainer: "I love it when they say, 'Oh, the Oscars need a host.' Or, 'So and so needs to take notes from Carrie and Brad,' I'm like, 'Woo-hoo.'"
