Channel 4 has acquired the UK broadcast rights to This Is Us from the writer and creator of Crazy, Stupid, Love - Dan Fogelman.

With its first-look trailer amassing a record-breaking 64 million Facebook views and 8.5 million on Youtube, the 20th Century Fox Television series has become the most anticipated show of the season.

Sometimes life will surprise you. This is Us is a smart, modern and refreshingly honest comedy drama that follows the lives of an ensemble of characters, played by Mandy Moore ("A Walk to Remember"), Milo Ventimiglia ("Heroes," "Gilmore Girls") and Sterling K. Brown ("The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story"). With Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Chris Sullivan, Susan Kelechi Watson and Ron Cephas Jones also starring.

As their paths cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways, we find that several of the characters share the same birthday and so much more than anyone would expect. This Is Us will challenge your everyday presumptions about the people you think you know.
