Channel 4 Education commissions one off doc Just Not My Type (wt)

Channel 4 Education has commissioned a one-off documentary from Antenna Pictures called Just Not My Type (wt). In the hour long programme sociologist and broadcaster Emma Dabiri will explore the world of modern dating and ask if young Britons are unwittingly more segregated than ever before.

Just Not My type (wt) will unveil the results of a national survey of British online dating habits and trends among young single people in the UK. The survey of nearly 5,000 people was conducted by YouGov and is the first of its kind looking at race and dating. The documentary will examine the results through a group of young British singletons who will navigate a number of experiments to help discover if there is more than meets the eye going on in the instantly judgemental world of modern dating apps. Emma will also meet a number of people who have compelling and often controversial opinions on how young people choose who they are willing to date.

Just Not My Type (wt) was commissioned by Channel 4 Education commissioning editor Emily Jones and will be made by Antenna Pictures with executive producers Jago Lee and Nina Davies.
