Tony Blair to appear in sketch for The Last Leg: Reunited Kingdom
Former Prime Minister Tony Blair will appear in a comedy sketch alongside The Last Leg hosts Adam Hills, Alex Brooker and Josh Widdicombe as part of The Last Leg: Re-United Kingdom, a two hour special live programme in the memory of MP Jo Cox a year on from her death.
As the Last Leg boys enter ‘The Lift Reconciliation’ bickering, a mysterious figure lurks behind a book listening in on their squabbles. As their spat reaches its peak the man behind the book is revealed to be Tony Blair who tells them to pull themselves together and unite to celebrate the life of Jo Cox.
As well as speaking to an array of famous faces from across the worlds or politics, celebrity and music, The Last Leg boys will be reuniting famous foes and settling some long standing disputes as high profile guests come together and put their differences aside in a series of comedy sketches including political rivals Blair vs Hague, Sturgeon vs Davidson and Gove vs Balls.
With warmth and humour Adam, Alex and Josh will also be joined live in the studio by Nick Clegg, Alastair Campbell, comedians Jon Richardson and Stephen Mangan, actors James Buckley and Lily Cole and top British band Elbow, with more names still to be announced.
As part of the Great Get Together weekend Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch will also be supporting the weekend of community events with Mayor of London Sadiq Khan joining Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer in the studio.
