T2 Trainspotting was the biggest winner at last night’s BAFTA Scotland Awards. The film triumphed in all three categories in which it was nominated: Feature Film, Danny Boyle won for Director – Fiction, while Ewen Bremner saw off fellow cast members Ewan McGregor and Robert Carlyle to collect the award for Actor – Film.

Two other Film4 films also enjoyed awards success over the weekend:

Sam Rockwell collected Best Supporting Actor at the Hollywood Film Awards for his role in Martin McDonagh’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

The Killing of a Sacred Deer was nominated for three European Film Awards: Yorgos Lanthimos was nominated for Best European Director, also for Best European Screenwriter along with co-writer Efthimis Filippou, while Colin Farrell was nominated in the Best European Actor category.
