Charli XCX is a 'really big fan' of TV vocal talent competitions

'Fancy' hitmaker Charli XCX has revealed that she enjoys watching hopeful contestants sing on televised talent competitions, but worries that the shows are more focused on the entertainment that then talent they showcase.

Speaking to Britain's OK! magazine recently, she confessed that although TV vocal talent shows do tend to get a bad reputation she thinks they're great and can be useful platforms for upcoming artists to use for exposure:

"I think they’re good TV. I’m a really big fan. I think Simon Cowell’s empire is very admirable but I’m not sure that format is the best way to create an artist in this day and age. It’s more about the TV than it is about the end product."

When asked if she would ever consider being a judge or a coach on a show such as 'The X Factor' or 'The Voice', the 'Boom Clap' sensation joked, "I think I would be too much of a risk – in every way!"
