Cher Lloyd: 'I'm much more comfortable and confident with my look and style now'

Cher Lloyd has admitted that she felt overwhelmed by the styling on the X Factor.

The singer was a contestant on the 2010 series of the show and she ultimately finished in fourth place.

Speaking to Wonderland magazine, the Brit said that she is now more comfortable with how she looks compared to when she was an X Factor wannabe.

She attributed this partly to the styling on the TV talent show, which the 'I Wish' star said pulled her in "direct directions".

Lloyd said: "I'm much more comfortable and confident with my look and style now. When I was on The X Factor I couldn't 100% be myself. I felt like I was being pulled and tugged in different directions.

"I felt that I wasn't good enough and had self-confidence issues. Everyone was saying 'you should wear this', and it was confusing. I was OK before – I was the sort of girl who didn't really care what people thought of me, so to be put in that position on the show was quite difficult. I'm 21 very soon, so I've grown up at lot since I was 16!"

Lloyd meanwhile is due to release her new album 'Sorry I'm Late' in the UK on July 28.
